She has worked so hard this school year.
More homework than usual, but luckily it's not out of control, more expectations and more noise in a classroom with 10 more students. We prepped her going in that things would definitely be different this year.
She has always had to work hard to get decent grades. It just doesn't come easy to her, especially math.
Sure, she can spell words now that Terry jokes he doesn't know how to spell! She is a good reader too, but again, it doesn't come easy.
She came home with her 2nd report card of the year and guess what????
Straight A's Baby!!!
We couldn't be prouder and she was absolutely beaming when she came off the bus on Friday!! So excited for her accomplishment. And the best part? She worked hard for it and the hard work paid off. That lesson you want them to learn was experienced for her on Friday.
She did very well too and continues to amaze us with her reading and spelling and just overall adjustment to school.
Surprised at what she comes home and tells us she knows because most often she acts oblivious at home!
I got my craft on this weekend and busted out the gorgeous Studio Calico February kit - Candy Shoppe. The colors are so yummy and the Crate Paper exclusive papers? Awesome!
I finally had a bit of time to complete the weekly challenge, which was to scrap photos from the past. I chose to do a 1 year ago, 5 years ago and 10 years ago photos for this layout. I got lost for a while looking through old photos! But looking at photos of the girls when they were younger makes my heart skip a beat too.
Look at those yummy baby cheeks! Oh my goodness! And us? We don't look that much different, but still takes me back to those carefree, childfree days!
Have a great Monday and here's hoping to a no snow forecast!!
Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day-not big celebraters over here so I tend to forget!!
Gorgeous layout Christa - and a big congratulations to your beautiful girl xxx
