Once upon a time a 2 year old little girl received a small stuffed bunny for her birthday from a dear friend of mine. Little did we know that 4 years later and fur matted, this is still an animal near and dear to her heart. Ella has a hoarding issue, and that would be stuffedd animal hoarding. Call in an intervention please.
Her collection has grown, although she still holds an affinity to bunnies-of any size. She can tell you how many there are, if one is missing and where it should "sleep" at night. She can't remember anyone's name in her class, but boy she knows all the stuffed animals!
Combine a child who hoards her animals and a dad who likes a minimalist house and sometimes you have trouble. As in, she will throw herself on a grenade in order to save "bun-bun". When we are in a store she has a homing device for the stuffed animal section and heads right there begging to add "just one more". I'm thinking she'll be sleeping on the floor soon to give room to all her "fellas".
She has cajoled, sweet talked and flat out stolen stuffed animals from various family we have gone to visit. They think she's so cute walking around with these animals as we are screaming "NNNNOOOOOO", but we're the parents and no one listens to us.
Before we moved from North Carolina last summer I walked in one day and found her animals all lined up on her bed. For once she took "clean up" to a whole new level! When I was asked to complete a layout for Valentine's Day for Creative Memories I knew exactly which photo I wanted to scrap! This went up on the Traditional Tuesday blog post yesterday, with supply list and instructions.
So cute!

Sweet! I know the feeling.
But son has quite a collection of stuffed animals on his bed as well.
He calls them "bed friends"
I do have a photo of them and you've inspired me to scrap it! :)
