You have to start with 2 happy children on a rare warm and sunny day in February. Time to get the bikes out, pump up the tires and get the legs moving. And oddly, no one is complaining.
YET.
We are off on our trek and even go over the bike path that runs along the forest. We have major hills here in Northern Virginia, but the path is just right with some small hills and bumps.
Someone gets mad because their sister's bike is bigger and she keeps going ahead of her.
Then, we hit a small-ish hill. When you are pedaling as fast as you can to keep ahead of your sister + there is a small hill + you have a small bike that you are about to outgrow then you start getting mad.
Not just a little bit mad, but a big bit mad.
It's important that everyone knows how mad you are so you need to throw down your bike as cars go whizzing by on the road.
Just in case they didn't see that, you need to start kicking your bike.
At this point we are all learning a valuable lesson I think. My lesson is always have camera on hand for cute children or massive meltdowns.
After you have shown the bike who is boss then you stomp over to your family to give them an earfull.
For full on dramatic effect you really need your clothes to start coming off so then everyone knows it's for realz man.
And since your mom is mean and too busy taking pictures you should probably go talk to Dad about all the injustices you are facing on this February afternoon. I mean, being 6 isn't all it's cracked up to be.
After Dad has talked you down then you need to explain to him how no one "cares about me anymore" and your bike is "a baby bike".
Your mom finally comes to her senses, puts the camera away and promises you gold and toys.
Or maybe she just tells you that if you don't get on your bike then not only do you not have a baby bike, but you have no bike at all.
Pouting and whining ensues all the way home, but you ride your bike.
And in my book that's called a parent victory.
The End.
Great documentation of a meltdown - GO MOM! LOL!!
I love it and she is so cute when she pouts ;0P
I have one of those in a male form - now a teen; it gets more interesting = NOT!
Ah, motherhood :)
